My family and I visited The North Carolina Transportation Museum this weekend in Spencer, NC. The last time we visited the Museum was about 7yrs ago when my son was 7 and he was a Cub scout so we decided it was time to check it out again and lucky for us Disney’s A Christmas Carol Train Tour was there. Despite the rain the people game out in the hundreds to check it out and not for once did they let the rain ruin their fun.

The lines were huge and we did try to stay in the line for as long as we could but we decided to ditch the in the inside tour of the train and check out the rest of the museum. So I am afraid I do not have photos of the inside of the train but I do have a link if you want to see it I will post it at the end so you can check it out.

I must commend the museum for the orderly way they organized everything the event flowed nicely and had a nice feel to it. After you took a tour you were able to go inside this cool inflatable building that was made to look like brick and get a sneak peak of the 3D movie coming out in theaters November 6th. They had snow coming from outside the little structure if you look at photo below you will see the black machine behind the green foam. It was cool as it was mixed with the rain and we felt like we were back in NY in winter.

While everyone was waiting on line they had Carolers coming around singing and getting everyone into the spirit.

I have tons of photos that I took from the different places in the museum indoors and outdoor goodies that I will share with all of you as soon I sort and process them for you all to see. In the meantime, visit the official website for the tour train here A Christmas Carol Tour Train.

Until next time, stay well and take time out to enjoy your view!

In my photo group we have a “Transportation” photo theme for the month of May which means that anything related to “Transportation” goes so the wheels in my head started spinning as to what would be my first set of photos. After coming up with several ideas which I am still going to do before the month is over I decided to photograph model trains. The trains are HO scale and aren’t as old as you might think from looking at them I wanted to give it that old antique feel … I hope I succeeded.

1.

2. This is one of my favorites I moved the train slightly and then arranged the camera so that it felt like the train was turning the corner and coming down the track.

3.

4.

5. This is my second favorite photo I think the processing really works here.
