I think I am Going To Type Myself A Letter | North Carolina Photographer

Monday, February 8th, 2010

This week photo is a picture I came across when I was cleaning out my folders and forgot the fact that I never shared it with you. It’s from my North Carolina Transportation Museum series and was one of the exhibits offering us a glimpse of the different ways of communication and how it evolved over the years. It was very interesting to see the different items and being able to touch them was an added plus.

I thought about processing it black and white for all you all know by now it’s my favorite but decided against it. Instead, I wanted to create old color film processing it was just screaming for it and I am so glad that I did for I love how it turned out I hope you do as well.

Going Up Grandfather Mountain | North Carolina Photographer

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Back in October we ventured to Grandfather Mountain in Linville, North Carolina to see the Fall foliage needless to say we picked the wrong weekend to go weather wise as it was snowing, rainy, windy and very cold but that did not stop all of us brave souls for checking it out. We were not able see the famous Mile High Swinging Bridge due to the weather conditions but we were still able to go to the animal habitats and museum.

Below are a few photos from the drive up the mountain along the scenic viewing points.

Scenes From The Car On Our Way To Grandfather Mountain

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Today we are taking a little detour from the NC Transportation Museum and heading towards Grandfather Mountain in Linville to show you the beautiful autumn colors. It seems that so far this fall each time we go on an adventure it rains and this time was no exception but added to mix was snow, fog, wind and just darn right cold now you would think that would stop all of us from visiting the mountains the weekend of the October 17th fat chance there were tons of us brave souls who venture out to check it out.

One of the things I love when we go on our adventures is to take photos from the car while the hubby is driving he only has one stipulation and that is for me to stay on my side of the car which sometimes can prove difficult when there are neat things to photograph on his side.

Below are a few scenes from the car as we headed towards Grandfather Mountain.
