One of the things I love when we go on our adventures is to take photos from the car while the hubby is driving he only has one stipulation and that is for me to stay on my side of the car which sometimes can prove difficult when there are neat things to photograph on his side.

Below are a few scenes from the car as we headed towards Grandfather Mountain.

2. The highway that leads you to the mountains you can see the fog from the rain, snow and cold.

3. The rain and fog became more apparent as we climbed the high elevation

4. We need to pass Blowing Rock (a place we love) to get there. I turned around to get this I aimed at the backseat window.

7. We arrive and as my hubby turned right into Grandfather Mountain I shot the sign

Anyway, I normally photograph the leaves and trees near me after my morning walk each year because the sun is just rising and the light is so beautiful and I planned this year on doing it earlier in the week but we had rain so I took the opportunity today on a dry morning to shoot them especially with the drops of rain and dew from yesterday.

Below are a few photos I took from this morning.

1. The sun was just starting to rise …I love to see the leaves on the floor and listening to the rustling noise it makes as you walk on them

6. I wanted to roll in it and play but I decided not to I didn’t want the neighbors to think I was crazy.
