Can we say that Fall has finally arrived in North Carolina today? Well, it sure felt like it this morning for the air was filled with a beautiful Fall breeze that was so refreshing which made my usual walk especially enjoyable today.

I just love to walk around the neighborhood with my dog Midnight it’s great exercise for us both and along the way we see the kiddies boarding the school buses, neighbors heading off to work as well people taking their best friends out for a stroll but one of the favorite things we enjoy seeing on our walks are the wildlife over by the gazebo.

We have Canadian Geese that seem to be there year round as well, Swans, Mallards, a few Egrets and let’s not forget Snakes we have not encountered any yet but a few years ago the neighborhood kids along with my son found snake skin they had shed on what we call  “Rock Island” (big boulders in the pond the boys hung out on).  Of course, after that all the boys were banned from “Rock Island”.

Anyway, this Summer we got to see the resident Canadian Geese have their gosling and watch them grow into beautiful Geese below is a photo I took early this Summer. It was so nice to see them all this morning enjoying the weather by the pond. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera to take a photo of all of them there along with the other wildlife. It is amazing to see them all their hanging out together getting along like one big happy family.

I hear tomorrow will be just as nice as today I look forward to another stroll.
