If your family loves animals and is looking for a fun place to visit check out Why Not An American Ark it’s a full working farm that specializes in Horse shows and special events as well as livestock and natural vegetable production. The farm is 125 acres located 4 miles south of Monroe, NC, which is approximately 19 miles from I-485.

In October I had the honor of visiting Why Not An American Ark to photograph their beautiful horses. My son who was my assistant for the day was getting to know the horses and talking to them while I was setting before shoot here are a few photos I secretly sneaked in without them knowing about it.

Midnight seems to always know when it’s the time when her daddy is coming home from work. She is always on alert making sure that she does not miss his arrival and that she greets him at the door with hugs & licks. So every noise every sound she hears Midnight has to go and investigate I just think it’s the cutest thing ever. I love documenting all aspect of her life so I can add it to her scrapbook so I knew that I needed to do this so finally one day last week I decided that is was time that I get it done and below are few that I captured.

Midnight cracked me up here as she was fighting not to fall asleep here but with her snuggling with doggie it was a hard fight.

Then she heard something coming from the driveway and Midnight quickly popped her head up in full alert. She darted to the door right after this and sure enough it was daddy.

For this blog post I wanted to share one of my favorite photos of the week that happens to be of my girl Midnight.
It’s been so hot this summer so we haven’t been able to be outside to enjoy it as we would like so we are making the best of it, by playing games indoors.
I must admit I am having tons of fun with it and I think Midnight is enjoying herself as well.
Below is a photo I captured this week when Midnight was resting in her “safe zone” which happens to be on the stairs.
See we were playing tag and Midnight knows if she runs to the stairs and sits she is safe and she can rest until she ready to play again.
It really is a hoot to see her there then run down and tag us when she is ready to play again.
