This rose is from the bouquet of Roses I received on Valentines weekend. My hubby surprised me with them on the Friday before Valentine’s day and can you believe they lasted a good 3 weeks my mantle was so beautiful adorn with them. Of course, silly me forgot to take a few photos of the mantle with my gorgeous roses… oh well; maybe next time at least I managed to get this one.

Caught Up In The Web In The Mist Of The Rain | North Carolina Photographer

I love to photograph my surroundings during and after the rain for I always seem to find so many interesting things to photograph.

One afternoon as the rain began to fall lightly and before the drops took their form I noticed my Rose Of Sharon draped delicately in spider webs.

I love how it all fell into place the lighting; the web placement below is the photo I captured.

Peonies In Bloom | North Carolina Photographer

I am so happy to see my Peonies finally blooming this year. Each time I see her budding and blooming it always makes me smile for it reminds me of my father-in-law. See one day so many years ago when my father-in-law came to visit us from New York he had the baby peony plant with him so that we can plant in our front yard. Having the plant here is like having a piece of him and back home. My father-in-law has an amazing green thumb so when the peonies are blooming I think of him and smile knowing he will be so happy to see how beautifully she has grown this year and since he can’t visit as often as he would like I take photos to show him the new blooms of the season.
